International Conference on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ICARRD)
The International Conference on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ICARRD) of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations was hosted by the government of Brazil between 7-10 March 2006 at Porto Alegre to promote agrarian reform and rural development and sustainable development, which includes the realization of human rights, food security, poverty eradication, and the strengthening of social justice, on the basis of democratic rule of law.
